1. Who is responsible for your data?

The data controller is tmi Mikko Sällinen, Business ID 3157190-6, Finland, operating DrumLight Studio.

2. What information do we process?

We may process the information you choose to send in a private beta application, installation enquiry or message, including your name, email address, location, drum and LED setup, controller, Mac and macOS version, testing plans, requested installation, preferred timing, links and additional notes.

Support messages may also include project details, diagnostics, screenshots or other technical information that you voluntarily provide. If licensing or paid sales begin, we may process the identifiers and transaction records needed to deliver and support the licence. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by DrumLight Studio.

3. How the website forms work

When you send a beta application, installation enquiry or contact message, the website securely submits the form to DrumLight Studio. Cloudflare Turnstile checks the request for automated abuse, and the message is delivered to the appropriate DrumLight Studio business mailbox through an email delivery provider. Form details are not added to a public list or used for marketing.

4. Why do we use the information?

• to review beta applications and communicate selection decisions;
• to assess installation enquiries, discuss the requested work and prepare an individual quote;
• to provide beta access, licence administration and technical support;
• to investigate bugs, compatibility and security issues;
• to improve DrumLight Studio based on real testing; and
• to meet accounting, legal and security obligations.

The legal bases are steps requested before a beta, installation or customer arrangement, performance of that arrangement, legitimate interests in developing and securing the product, and legal obligations where applicable. We do not add applicants or enquirers to marketing messages without separate permission.

5. Service providers and international transfers

Email and business communication are handled with Google Workspace. Website delivery and form security use OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Resend delivers beta applications, installation enquiries and contact messages from the website to the DrumLight Studio business mailbox. These providers process data only as needed to provide their services under their own data-processing terms.

Where processing takes place outside the European Economic Area, appropriate transfer safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses are used where required.

6. Retention

Unsuccessful beta applications and installation enquiries that do not lead to work are normally deleted within 12 months. Participant, customer and support correspondence is normally retained for the relationship and up to 24 months afterwards so that issues, quotes and previous decisions can be understood. Information required by law, accounting rules or legal claims may be kept for the applicable statutory period.

7. Website data and cookies

The website does not currently use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking or a marketing analytics profile. Hosting providers may process ordinary technical request and security logs, such as IP address, browser information and request time, to deliver and protect the website.

8. Your rights

Depending on the situation, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your personal data. You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Requests can be sent to the address above; identity may be verified before information is released.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland.

9. Changes

This notice may be updated as the beta, licensing or website develops. The latest version and update date will remain available on this page.
