Beta Terms

1. About the beta

DrumLight Studio is prerelease software developed by tmi Mikko Sällinen, Business ID 3157190-6, Finland. Applying does not guarantee selection. If accepted, you receive access for evaluation, compatibility testing and feedback during the private beta.

2. Beta licence

You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to install and use the beta on the number of devices stated with your licence. The software, installer, licence key and activation access must not be sold, shared, published or redistributed.

You may not attempt to defeat licensing or security controls. Rights granted by mandatory law, including any lawful interoperability rights that cannot be restricted, remain unaffected.

3. Prerelease limitations

The beta is still being tested. Features, projects, controller support and file formats may change. The software may contain defects, and a controller listed as protocol-tested has not necessarily been verified on every physical model, firmware and macOS version.

Keep independent backups of projects and audio. Rehearse the exact computer, controller, cabling and project before relying on them in a performance. A beta label does not remove any rights that applicable law gives you.

4. Lighting and electrical safety

You are responsible for the safe design, power supply, fusing, wiring, mounting and operation of your LED installation. Begin hardware tests at low brightness, keep an accessible physical power-disconnect method and stop testing if wiring, connectors, controllers or power supplies behave unexpectedly.

Strobe and rapidly changing light can affect photosensitive people. Use these effects responsibly and provide appropriate warnings. DrumLight Studio must not be treated as an emergency, life-safety or sole protective system.

5. Testing and feedback

Please report the exact Mac, macOS, controller, firmware, LED setup and steps needed to reproduce a problem. Feedback is voluntary. You allow DrumLight Studio to use submitted feedback to improve the product without an obligation to compensate you, while ownership of your own music, projects and other pre-existing material remains yours.

6. Privacy and diagnostics

Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Notice. The website securely submits beta applications to the DrumLight Studio business mailbox using the service providers described in that notice. Do not include music, confidential band material or personal information in a bug report unless it is necessary and you have the right to share it.

7. Availability and ending participation

Beta access may be updated, paused or ended for technical, security or programme reasons. Access may be revoked if these terms are materially breached, including sharing the installer or licence. You may stop participating at any time and request deletion of eligible application data.

8. Responsibility and applicable law

To the extent permitted by law, the beta is provided for testing without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

These terms are governed by Finnish law. If you participate as a consumer, the mandatory consumer protections and dispute rights of your country remain available.
