Most lighting software is designed to control an entire stage. DrumLight Studio started with a different need: one clear timeline, one visible track for every drum and direct control over what each LED does.

Import a song or a complete concert soundtrack, then place and edit lighting effects directly against the music. Every effect keeps its own colour, brightness, speed and automation. Automatically generated shows remain fully editable, so the final result always belongs to the user.

Virtual Preview makes it possible to build and check a show without connecting the physical kit. For live use, beat grids, absolute time and LTC timecode provide different ways to keep the lights synchronised.

The software has been developed while programming a real concert show. Problems found during editing, rehearsal and hardware testing have shaped the product: clearer controls, safer blackout behaviour, long-audio support, effect layers and accurate playback from any point on the timeline.

DrumLight Studio is developed in Finland by Mikko Sällinen and is currently in private beta for Apple Silicon Macs.
